The most famous destination in the Mexican Caribbean is Cancun<\/strong>,\u00a0whose name in the Mayan language means “Nest of Serpents” and is the number one touristic destination in Latin America.\u00a0<\/strong>Cancun offers us endless activities and places that are worth discovering if you visit this beautiful paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here I leave you ten places to visit that make Cancun unique:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. It’s Blue Flag Beaches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of its main attractions is without a doubt its\u00a0white sand beaches<\/a> and the turquoise sea<\/strong>\u00a0that makes even the toughest fall in love.\u00a0Cancun has seven Blue Flag beaches<\/strong>\u00a0which are the following: Chac Mool, Delfines, Las Perlas, Marl\u00edn, Ballenas and El Ni\u00f1o.\u00a0<\/strong>Here you can find basic services such as parking, bathrooms and showers, in addition to following environmental regulations. It is one of the simplest but most beautiful activities to do in Cancun.<\/p>\n\n\n

2. Archaeological Zones<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cancun not only has beautiful beaches, but it also has an important Mayan culture that surrounds it in its history through its three archaeological zones<\/strong>: El Rey<\/strong> located in front of Playa Delfines by the hotel zone, San Miguelito<\/strong> (inside the Mayan Museum of Cancun) also located in the hotel zone and El Meco<\/strong> located by Puerto Ju\u00e1rez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price of the tickets is $50 mxn and they are open from Monday to Sunday from 08:00 am to 4:00 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n

3. Mayan Museum of Cancun<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For lovers of Mayan history and culture, this place will be of great interest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mayan Museum of Cancun has one of the most important archaeological collections of the Mayan culture in Mexico. <\/strong>The building in which it is located has a design where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Nichupt\u00e9 lagoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entrance fee is around $65 mxn and it is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n

4. Cancun Scenic Tower<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On\u00a0the most iconic bridge in the hotel zone, the Calinda bridge<\/strong>\u00a0is the scenic Tower located, in this place you can have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful view at a height of 80 meters. The tower rotates 360 degrees where you can see the beautiful Caribbean Sea on one side and the green of the mangroves found in the Nichupt\u00e9 lagoon on the other. The cost is around $250 mxn and it lasts around 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Nichupte Lagoon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Nichupt\u00e9 Lagoon offers a wide variety of water activities from quiet boat rides to appreciate its beautiful mangroves or flying in the water with a flyboard<\/strong> that consists of boots attached to a board and hoses that provide propulsion with a jet of water that makes you feel fly through the skies, quite an experience. The prices of these activities are somewhat expensive but if you are a lover of this type of activity it is worth doing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for photography lovers, I recommend looking for any point in the lagoon to enjoy the beautiful spectacle of the sunset.<\/p>\n\n\n

6. “Las Palapas” Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you go to Cancun downtown and do not visit the “Parque de las Palapas”, it is as if you had not gone. Cancun local life meets here<\/strong>, you will have the privilege of enjoying its wide variety of snacks such as marquesitas, corn, natural juices and whatever you can think of, you will get it, and for the most gourmet there are a large number of restaurants specializing in local gastronomy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isla Blanca is a little piece of paradise that shelters a wide variety of flora and fauna in its landscape. <\/strong>You will be able to observe birds of different sizes and colors such as ducks, frigates, white and gray herons, as well as roseate spoonbills and if luck is with you you will be able to see the elegant flamingo walking through the lagoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Isla Blanca you will be able to appreciate beautiful sunsets that will leave you speechless and for lovers of the stars, this is an ideal place<\/strong>, because as you don’t see “light pollution” you will be able to enjoy the beauty of the Milky Way at its best. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This place is located about 40 minutes from Cancun in the direction of Puerto Ju\u00e1rez and admission is totally free.<\/p>\n\n\n

In this mall, you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the sunset in the lagoon<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
