Mexico is a country with excellent options to rest and relax, but there are beach destinations that for their characteristics seem to be made to enjoy the summer, put on some sunscreen, dark glasses and go with us!
1. Isla Mujeres
Isla Mujeres is a charming island located just 30 minutes by boat from Cancun. It is not very large and you can travel all by bicycle, motorcycle or golf cart.
To get cool and enjoy the summer sun its best beach is Playa Norte, located only 3 blocks away from the center.
Also has a small boardwalk with seafood restaurants on the beach, from which you can watch unforgettable sunsets.

2. Ixtapa Zihuatanejo
Ixtapa – Zihuatanejo, is among the most visited beach destinations throughout Mexico.
You can arrive driving from cities like Morelia or Mexico City in a few hours and also is 290 km away from Acapulco, Guerrero.
It is a complete and familiar destination, with great nightlife, water activities for the whole family, and places of interest in the surroundings such as museums, markets, marinas and ecological parks.
A visit to Las Gatas beach is essential, or enjoy a kayak ride to Ixtapa Island from Playa Linda.
3. Veracruz
Veracruz is a city with great monuments and historical buildings. Its best beaches can be found in Punta Mocambo and Punta Antón Lizardo.

4. Puerto Vallarta

5. Cancun
If you have ever been to Cancun, you know that it is one of the destinations that could not be missing in this list.
The summer in Cancun is hot, but that is not a problem, because you have more than 20 km of White sand beaches and Turquoise blue sea to refresh you, in addition to the big pools and hotels.

7. Acapulco
A very visited destination during the summer, it remains one of the favorites: it is familiar, economical and also very close to Mexico City.
If you plan to escape here during the summer, book your hotel in advance to find a better price and also ensure a good place to rest and enjoy the attractions that this destination offers you.
In addition to enjoying its beaches and nightlife, you can perform all kinds of water sports and practice ecotourism in the surroundings.

8. Huatulco
Huatulco is formed by 9 beautiful bays, with 35 km of paradisiacal beaches.

11. Riviera Maya

12. Holbox
Who would not like to travel to an island to rest the body and mind? If this is your case, Isla Holbox is one of the places where you will find the best sunsets, beaches, small hotels and a lot of tranquility.
The activities here are optional, you can spend your day resting on the beach, take a kayak, or walk the beaches and sand streets of the city by bicycle to close your day with a bonfire on the beach.
Food lovers will find here a paradise, from wood-baked pizzas with lobster, shrimp or seafood, to true specialties of international cuisine.
👉 TIP: There are no large resorts, most lodging centers are small boutique hotels, so if you plan a trip to Isla Holbox for next summer, book in advance.
